Unless you’re in sunny Southern California or South Florida right now, there’s a good chance you’re covered in snow. A massive super-storm (nothing more than a regular storm that has great self-esteem) has blanketed most of the Northern United States, leaving at least 20 dead and hundreds trapped. Places like Buffalo and much of northern New York are in rough shape at the moment.
The snow has been trapping vehicles on roads for nearly two days and has completely debilitated many citizens’ ability to leave their own homes. Governor Andrew Cuomo has declared a state of emergency for 10 counties. This is truly a storm to be reckoned with and a huge news story.
Up in Toronto, one resident isn’t that concerned. In fact, they LIKE all the snow. Who could I be talking about? Well, take a look at the video below, where adorable panda bear Da Mao can be seen at the Toronto Zoo frolicking around and tumbling down the snow bank. This footage has been picked up by almost every major news network, with headlines like “OMG Can’t Handle the Cuteness” or “Precious Panda Playing.” Major “news affiliate” Facebook even had this as their number one trending story.
Watch the video below and witness another example of how quickly we are all able to forget about a serious and life-threatening story…wait, what were we talking about again?
Seriously – that is freakin adorable.
